JEK Recruitment is supporting an international company in the energy / oil & gas sector with a strong focus on sustainability. We’re looking for an experienced GL Accountant to join their finance team in the Netherlands. You’ll work alongside four other GL accountants in a multicultural environment. Dutch language skills are not required, but previous accounting experience in the Netherlands is essential. Salary: €55K–€60K (depending on experience) International environment Based in the Netherlands (hybrid) Candidates outside NL cannot be considered Key Responsibilities General Ledger Accounting Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations Manage intercompany reconciliations Post journal entries and clear balance sheet accounts Coordinate with Controlling teams on balance positions Execute fixed asset transactions Accounts Payable Prepare salary recharge invoices Prepare cost-center recharges Month-End Closing Maintain and post accruals Perform IFRS15 postings Run capitalization and amortization processes Post additional month-end journals as needed Reporting & Audit Support Provide financial information to HQ Assist with consolidation of financial statements Support external audits and follow up on requests Submit CBS filings HFM Reporting Complete HFM submissions (shared responsibility with Chief Accountant) Tax & Other Tasks Review tax accounts (NL, CY) Update FX rates in SAP for group entities Required Qualifications ACCA, CPA, or equivalent 5+ years experience in accounting within the Netherlands IFRS and SAP experience is a strong advantage Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to handle confidential information If you are based in the Netherlands and open to a new challenge in a modern, future-focused organization, I’d be happy to tell you more.
