Job Description:
As a Category Manager at Loopper Corporate Gifts, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our product categories and assortment. From identifying new products and suppliers to analyzing sales performance, you will have a wide range of responsibilities. Your main objective will be to develop and execute strategies aimed at maximizing category profitability and enhancing customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with internal teams such as procurement, marketing, and sales, you will work towards achieving our business objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze market trends, competitive behaviour, and customer needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive category sales and profitability.
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and explore alternative product sourcing options.
- Analyze sales performance, pricing, and margins.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective Google Ads campaigns and newsletters.
- Ensure optimal product presentation on the website.
- Serve as the main point of contact for product-related inquiries.
- Supervise interns to assist in various tasks.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
- Conversion rate.
- Gross profit margin.
- Successful launch and implementation of new products.
- Customer satisfaction and retention.
- Market and competitive analysis.
- Purchasing conditions and negotiations.
- Collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Management will provide a roadmap outlining assortment priorities based on search volume and seasons.
- SMART targets will be set for the upcoming year.
- The Category Manager will receive necessary resources and support from management, including market and competitive information, and access to trainees.
- The Category Manager will have autonomy in decision-making and will be responsible for managing the product categories effectively.
Development: Continuous learning and skill development are encouraged for the Category Manager. Quarterly training sessions on products, printing techniques, and sustainability with suppliers are provided. Additionally, attending trade fairs is recommended to stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
