Onze klant is een toonaangevende Amerikaanse strategieconsultant en M&A-adviseur gericht op de financiële sector.

Onze opdrachtgever is in 2019 met haar Europese operatie gestart. Het kantoor is sinds 1981 actief in de US met op dit moment 180 medewerkers. De combinatie van strategisch advies en M&A maakt dat onze klant heldere toegevoegde waarde kan leveren aan haar klanten binnen de financiële sector. Vanuit het hoofdkantoor in Amsterdam (op dit moment 15 fte) ligt de focus op Europese markt.Daarnaast openen ze lokale kantoren in andere delen van delen van Europa (recent in Parijs). Teams werken vaak cross border.

Voor verdere groei van het kantoor in Amsterdam zijn we op zoek naar een ondernemende Senior Director M&A die een leidende rol kan spelen in de verdere op- en uitbouwen van de business in Europa.

Als Senior Director M&A ben je verantwoordelijk voor het volledige proces van fusies en overnames voor klanten. Je hebt uitgebreide kennis en ervaring met alle aspecten van het M&A-proces en je speelt een belangrijke rol in het commerciële traject. Je adviseert en onderhoudt contacten met nieuwe en bestaande relaties in de Europa. Dit doe je in nauwe samenwerking met je team en collega’s in de US. Geen dag is hetzelfde in deze snelgroeiende werkomgeving waarbij je actief meebouwt aan de toekomst van de organisatie in Europa. Klanten variëren van familiebedrijven tot strategische kopers en private equity.

Gewenste achtergrond

Als Senior Director M&A ben jij een ervaren fusie en overname professional. Daarnaast ben je een sterke strategische business partner die denkt in oplossingen voor haar klanten. Resultaten tellen, executiekracht kenmerkt jouw profiel. Om doelen te realiseren, werk je samen met mensen binnen en buiten de organisatie. Om succesvol te zijn in deze rol, beschik jij over de volgende kwalificaties:

  • Je beschikt over een afgeronde WO-opleiding.
  • Je hebt minimaal 10 jaar relevante werkervaring in M&A trajecten.
  • Je hebt een indrukwekkend trackrecord met diverse succesvolle deals en uitgebreide betrokkenheid bij alle aspecten van het M&A-proces.
  • Je bent uitstekend in het leggen van contacten en weet jezelf goed te presenteren. Tijdens gesprekken ben je analytisch scherp, toon je oprechte interesse in ondernemers en verlies je het uiteindelijke resultaat nooit uit het oog.
  • Je hebt een ondernemende mindset en combineert praktisch, commercieel en strategisch inzicht.
  • Je neemt initiatief en weet effectief samen te werken in een team.
  • Je beschikt over uitstekende time-management-vaardigheden en hebt het vermogen om je takenlijst goed te prioriteren.
  • Je behoudt het overzicht en kunt gestructureerd werken in een dynamische werkomgeving.
  • Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met internationale projecten, zowel binnen als buiten Europa.
  • Je beheerst vloeiend Nederlands en Engels.
