About Your Future Job:

As a tax specialist within our team, you will be the primary expert on tax-related matters for Thales Nederland B.V., and potentially for other Thales entities in the Netherlands. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with tax regulations, monitoring tax deadlines, communicating with stakeholders (Dutch Tax Authority, other Ministries, and internal parties), offering financial guidance, identifying risks and opportunities, and participating in finance-related improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tax assessments and handling tax payments (e.g., WBSO, income tax, VAT).

  • Coordinating tax audits and monitoring tax rulings.

  • Evaluating, monitoring, and implementing tax policies, practices, and performance standards.

  • Supporting internal and external inquiries on tax-related matters.

  • Performing internal control tasks related to tax.

  • Ensuring financial integrity and compliance with processes.

  • Supporting internal improvement and change projects related to tax.

  • Collaborating with team members across various organizational levels.

Why You’d Be a Good Match:

  • Educational Background: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Tax with one to five years of relevant experience , preferably in an international environment.

  • Skills and Knowledge: Affinity with tax and accounting processes, and sufficient knowledge of Dutch Tax Law and MS Office.

  • Personal Attributes: A passion for finance, an informal work environment, and the ability to understand complex processes.

  • Professional Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Curiosity and the ability to grow into a professional role as a business partner on tax-related topics within Thales NL.

  • Proficiency in Dutch (native) and English.

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems is beneficial.
