Our client is a one of the world top social media platforms: -Over 6500 + staff globally across EMEA, NA, APAC and Middle East -Grow rapidly with cutting edge AR and VR technologies They are looking for a Linux system engineer to support the site with a focus on systems, sorting existing systems and assisting with hands-on discovery. Initially focused on the systems, network and infrastructure for the new Eindhoven office and the role will expand into other regions across EMEA. You’ll support the provisioning, maintenance, and improvement of systems and services: -Leading the discovery, sorting through existing systems (Linux systems/OS, manufacturing and lab systems, on premise and GCP platform, network, datacentre, VMware, backups, storage, etc.) at lab sites and connecting the dependencies and system integrations -Systems migration: migrate from legacy systems to Snap infrastructure and network and migrate from on premise to GCP cloud platform -Build services on GCP -Engineer and implement new solutions on both On-premise and IaaS and provide documentations -Work with Devops team to develop highly scalable tools and contribute to system automation (Ansible) and configuration management Requirements: The ideal candidate is an all-rounder system engineer with focus on Linux administration/engineering in a diverse application and system environment and even more ideally familiar with EDA/design systems. They should be a "doer" not a coordinator. -Strong knowledge in Linux -Knowledge across storage, backup, VMware, network; -Experience in system configuration and automation using Ansible, familiar with devops and CI/CD pipeline -Experience in systems migration or knowledge in GCP or AWS cloud platform -Strong communications skills -Fluent English (Dutch NOT required) Initially 12 months full time contract with the option to extend yearly. 5 days onsite in Eindhoven. 30% tax ruling for eligible candidates. Xnkfpon Offer 70k Euro gross per year + 8% holiday allowance + 350 Euro per month travel allowance + benefits such as 20 days annual leave, pension, 3% transition allowance and sick leave.
