About the role 

The Warehouse Manager keeps control and provide direction to achieve successful the strategy plans by inspiring and challenging the team. Facilitate and create an environment where the team can exceed their performances, grow in personal developments and work in a pleasant environment were everyone provide her/his contribution. The Warehouse Manager reports to the Operations Manager and lead the Supervisors.

How you will contribute 

• Leading the team to achieve all warehouse objectives and targets whilst managing continuous improvement of the Warehouse and operations
• Manage efficient resource planning by maintaining forecasts and translate to required resources with the aim to stay cost effective
• Chair Warehouse team meetings, organise daily/weekly workforce briefings to ensure direct reports and associates understand company expectations and targets including follow-up on actions
• Ensure all work instructions, H&S and Safe Systems of work are complied with, with support of the QEHS team to deliver a culture of safety and safe working practices.
• All accidents/incidents to be fully investigated and concluded with robust actions
• Monitor sickness absence including ensuring that the sickness absence database is updated correctly
• Manage absence cover and succession planning
• Ensure that all direct reports have annual appraisals and reviews and that training needs are identified, and training plans implemented.
• Manage training plans to ensure all warehouse roles have competent operators.
• Support in financial and budgeting reviews to be able to translate to Operations to build operational financial awareness
• Work close with the LEAN Development Specialist to develop a strong LEAN culture from bottom to top
• Support Engineering in potential automation projects

What you will bring 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration with minimum 5 years experiences in Logistical Operation as a leader 

Experience

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems , Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
• Knowledge and familiar with the capabilities of Business Intelligence and how to translate to Operations
