As a Senior Data Engineer at TRACT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, design, and implementation of our insights platform. Leveraging your expertise in Data development, you will lead the technical design and implementation of scalable and reliable data pipelines and APIs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into efficient and maintainable backend solutions, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and solutions that are shaping the future of agriculture and food sustainability.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
~6+ years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in a senior engineering role
~ Experience with Google Cloud data pipeline services and Terraform (experience with streaming data tools is a plus)
~ Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with technologies like FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Airflow, and BigQuery
~ Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate in teams
~ Full autonomy and ownership of your work, with opportunities to develop beyond your immediate role
~ Close collaboration with a team of around 45 talented and diverse colleagues
~ Flexibility to swap 3 Dutch public holidays for other recognized festive days
~ 23 per km (tax-free), capped at 20 km per single commute
~ Remote work flexibility: Laptop and home office setup provided
