Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is one of the world's largest seed-to-shelf agribusinesses. GAR opened their European offices in 2015, making it still a young, ambitious and entrepreneurial company which has established year-on-year solid growth and regional expansion since the start. The Role

We are now looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In this role you will be:

  • Protecting value for the company, performing daily tasks with diligence and responsibility
  • Planning of purchases and sales contracts for truckloads
  • Daily contact with terminals, truck companies and customers
  • Monitoring contractual position, mitigate and report any operational risks to manager and operations/trading teams
  • Managing customer service/relationships on execution side (buyers and 3rd party service providers)
  • Shipments tracking, and pre-alert
  • Preparation/verification/issuance of logistic documents
  • System entries in Agiblocks (GAR CTRM), including invoices and shipping updates
  • Monitoring and administrating accounts payables and receivables (L/Cs, bank guarantees, CADs, deposits) and customers' performance
  • L/Cs negotiation.
  • Handling quality claims and various customer complaint
  • Working closely with GAR global trade operations teams around the globe, i.e. trading, freight and accounting departments
  • Any ad hoc projects on Logistics/Documents/Customer Service.

The role will be reporting to the Operations Manager North Western Europe.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Economics/Agriculture/Supply Chain
  • Experienced operations/logistics professional
  • At least 1 years' experience in commodities
  • Interest in logistics, trading, trade operations and related fields
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent Communication skills: ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing
  • In control of all activities and ability to react quickly in communication between different parties
  • Ability to adapt and work on a wider scope of tasks and challenges
  • Negotiation skills
