Transportation Coordinator

Job Description

As a Transport Planner, you are primarily responsible for planning, monitoring, executing, and overseeing transport operations. Your tasks include:

• Developing and compiling both regular and specific transport plans, including route schedules, cost overviews, and specifications
• Coordinating with contractors regarding delivery timelines and cost reduction by combining transport operations
• Planning and communicating on an ad hoc basis with various parties for urgent assignments
• Monitoring schedules through contact with drivers, site managers, locations, and the Sales and Sales Support departments
• Developing structural solutions for recurring planning issues
• Tracking orders with Sales to ensure customers receive their goods on time
• Selecting the most suitable carriers by comparing quotations
• Resolving transport-related incidents
• Preparing cost overviews and specifications for optimal use of (hired) transport equipment
• Checking and approving invoices in the ERP system
• Conducting cost-benefit analyses and comparing transport costs from suppliers with revenues in SAP
• Handling complaints (assessing, investigating solutions, and providing advice)

Requirements

• Minimum MBO level 4 education
• Preferably some experience in a similar role within logistics
• Native or bilingual level Dutch or business professional proficiency
• Proactive attitude and a passion for planning and organizing
• Administrative tasks are no issue for you
• You work accurately and easily set priorities
• Experience with digital systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new ones
• Strong communication skills
• Skilled in building and maintaining long-term relationships, both internally and externally

Offer

• Salary €3,500 - €4,000 based on 40 hours
• Working hours: 40 hours per week
• 25 vacation days + 10 additional leave days (ADV)
