We're looking for an experienced "Chemical compliance, Reach and Regulatory Specialist" who will assist ECEM with (approx. 80 % European) regulatory administration for all product groups – mostly acrylic and hydroxy's monomers, keeps our Reach and regulatory registrations up to date, and set up our carbon footprint project to improve our sustainability and more.
Role Description
This is a part-time and on-site role located in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, updating our MSDSes, Labelling instructions and DGDs and developing a compliance strategy for all business activities. The Reach and Regulatory Specialist will provide guidance to team members on all matters of regulation, compliance and sustainability,.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemical or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in sustainability, regulatory, and compliance management
- Excellent knowledge of Reach, CLP, and EU regulatory requirements
- Understanding of global sustainability frameworks, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
- Experience with sustainability reporting, environmental and social impact assessments, and life cycle assessments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and take initiative to drive challenging projects forward
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to non-experts and to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Tasks:
- Management and classification of all raw material data and mixtures
- EU Reach legislation, registrations, monitor, reach compliance and application for new registrations
- Creating SDSes with correct classifications and up to date information,.
- Dangerous goods regulations: ADR, IMDG, IATA DGR & RID
- Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements.
- Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulations of our porfotio and new products
- Supporting the team with questionnaires form customers and suppliers
- PCF (Product Carbon Footprint) and GHG (Greenhouse gases)
- ISCC+
- Analyze other EU (and other regions) regulatory compliance requirements related to chemicals for import and export and support business departments in their compliance procedures (BPR, RoHS, PIC, Waste regulation, Food additives, Drug precursors etc)
