A fast-growing, cutting-edge semiconductor company is seeking a highly skilled System Software Engineering Architect with a strong background in semiconductor development.

This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in low-level system software, hardware-software integration, and embedded systems .

Key Responsibilities & Impact

  • Architect and develop core system software, including operating systems, drivers, firmware, and libraries , to support next-generation semiconductor platforms.
  • Lead system software design efforts, optimizing performance across complex workloads, from embedded environments to high-performance computing.
  • Drive Linux system initialization, bootloader development (e.g., U-Boot), and device driver implementation for cutting-edge chipsets.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between software and silicon, optimizing system performance.
  • Mentor and guide engineers , fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Identify and resolve system bottlenecks , improving efficiency through profiling, debugging, and optimization.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Qualifications & Expertise

  • Deep expertise in Linux system initialization, bootloaders, and device driver development for advanced processor architectures.
  • Strong experience in chip bring-up, OS bring-up, and emulation bring-up within semiconductor environments.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering , or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in hardware-software co-design, debugging, and system performance tuning .
  • Proficiency in low-level programming , including C, C++, Rust, and assembly language .
  • Hands-on experience in Linux kernel development, BSP development (ARM or similar), and embedded system optimization .
  • Familiarity with debugging, profiling, and performance analysis tools for embedded platforms.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor chip development is strongly preferred.
