Procurement Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

Lead Procurement Efforts:

Act as the main point of contact for procurement needs related to third-party suppliers, particularly for new business opportunities and contract renewals.

Manage Procurement Processes:

Oversee all aspects of procurement in customer deals, from initial stages through to final proposal submission.

Coordinate Procurement Activities:

Organize procurement tasks by prioritizing activities, managing timelines, and addressing change requests as they arise.

Collaborate on Solutions:

Work closely with global sourcing and support teams to develop and communicate tailored solutions for each project.

Resolve Issues & Escalations:

Address escalated concerns and collaborate with supply chain, legal, tax, and regulatory teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Continuous Improvement:

Document and analyze incidents and lessons learned to drive improvements in procurement processes.

Maintain Contract Transparency:

Ensure clarity and transparency in contracts related to customer deals and manage critical contract details effectively.

Manage Risks & Vendor Relations:

Oversee procurement risks for all deals and contribute to central vendor management initiatives.

Drive Sourcing Initiatives:

Lead tactical sourcing initiatives, including internal specification alignment, supplier shortlisting, contract finalization, and purchase order management, ensuring adherence to guidelines.

Work within Established Frameworks:

Operate within global category strategies and existing framework agreements, ensuring compliance with preferred supplier lists.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience, depending on expertise.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of IT procurement, including digital, cloud, software, and hardware.
  • Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.
  • Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM, SRM, EP, BW, Business Objects).
  • Relevant Experience:
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, particularly in B2B settings and IT sourcing.
