Electrical Project Engineer – Rotterdam
Focus Engineering is currently looking for an Electrical Project Engineer in the Rotterdam area for our client, a leading company in the maritime sector.
This company has a rich history in shipbuilding and engineering and specializes in the development and construction of high-quality naval vessels. With a team of hundreds of professionals, they work on innovative and technologically advanced projects for clients worldwide.
Job Description
As an Electrical Project Engineer , you play a crucial role in the design and implementation of complex electrical systems. From the initial design phase, you contribute to technical proposals and calculations, ensuring that the final engineering documents meet all requirements and specifications. Together with a team of specialists, you contribute to innovative maritime projects.
Responsibilities
- Preparing technical documentation such as specifications, functional descriptions, and schematics.
- Performing technical calculations to support designs.
- Participating in design reviews and quality checks.
- Evaluating and analyzing offers in collaboration with procurement.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Providing support for technical issues and commissioning activities.
Who Are You?
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in designing and installing complex electrical systems, preferably in shipbuilding, offshore, or industrial sectors.
- Preferably knowledge of EMC regulations and related compliance requirements.
- Experience working in complex project environments .
- Good command of the English language (Dutch and/or German is a plus).
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment security screening .
- EU citizenship and a permanent EU work permit required.
