Senior Market Researcher

We are looking for a Senior Market Analyst to join our Commercial team in Amsterdam.
As a Senior Market Analyst, you will develop short- to long-term market insights on biofuels (such as biodiesel, HVO, SAF, and marine fuels), feedstocks, and related end-markets to support commercial strategy. You will work closely with the trade, corporate development, and executive teams to optimize commercial decisions.
The role reports directly to the Group Head of Commercial, with an informal reporting line to the Head of Corporate Development and the Head of Trade.
Provide regular insights on biofuels, feedstocks, and (vegetable) oil markets to the trade team and executive management, supporting commercial decision-making. End-Market Analysis: Maintain and update in-house views on supply and demand fundamentals in key markets. Feedstock Analysis: Share insights with trade, corporate development, and executive teams to inform commercial and investment decisions.
Corporate Development & Investment Analysis: Support strategic growth initiatives by providing market data and insights for investment cases. Regulatory Impact Analysis: Support corporate affairs in evaluating the effects of national and European policy changes on biofuel demand (road, marine, and aviation transport). Chemical Market Analysis: Provide summaries on glycerine markets (both crude and refined) and general trends in chemicals used in production processes (e.g., methanol, KOH) to support commercial strategies.
A Master's or Bachelor's degree in International Business or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and experience in data gathering and analysis.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to create reports and deliver insights confidently to management teams.
A sense of responsibility and a drive for high-quality work.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
A dynamic and motivating team environment.
