The Project Services department of VTTI is one of the enablers of that mission by their support in delivering world class projects. VTTI's Project Services department is responsible for providing project controls, estimating & contracting services to its project organization. The department operates geographically out of the VTTI Headquarter Rotterdam, with functional team members located at several VTTI terminals and new project locations. To further strengthen the capability of Project Services to realize our growth we are looking for a Senior Cost Estimator.

Your role as Senior Cost Estimator
As a Senior Cost Estimator, you are responsible for all cost estimating activities on medium size to large projects and key strategic projects during the development and execution phases. You support the different cross-functional project teams to ensure the successful completion of projects from a estimating point of view.

Responsible for developing cost estimate at different levels of accuracy through the stage gates process from Feasibility through FEED and Execution up to Completion and Close-out;
Identify project risk areas, prepare the Estimate Risk Analysis and evaluate the appropriate level of estimating contingencies and allowances;
Consult and collaborate with project teams with regards to general conditions, construction methodology and schedules during the estimating process;
Interpret documentation, specifications, and design drawings to define scope/contents of estimates;
Develop systems for maintaining historical and current cost data;
Support project management with counter-estimates towards claims from Contractors;
Applies a sound knowledge of Project Controls principles in general;
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering;
Experience with software such as Cleopatra and or other estimating software;
Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel;
Proficient in written and spoken English
