Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller Senior/Supervisor with strong experience in international companies and group structures to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role will report to Global Financial Affairs Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Process: Control the process and entries in outsourced ERP system by working closely with Big4 outsourcing company and ensuring with Acunmedya ERP(Oracle) runs safe in parallel. Entities in Netherlands are outsourced for statutory accounting purposes. In this regard, experience with outsourcing companies (big4) is mandatory.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare/Control financial statements in accordance with both Dutch GAAP and IFRS and ensure compliance with both accounting standards, providing guidance and oversight as needed. Provide variance analysis and detailed insights into financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Independent Audit Process: Prepare audit packages with IFRS and ensure compliance with accounting standards and working closely with auditors (Big4). Consolidation experience is required for existing subsidiaries under Dutch entities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic plans. Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual financial results, proposing corrective actions as necessary.
- Cash Flow Management & Payment Approval: Coordinate and manage cash flow planning, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations. Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely approval of payments and adherence to financial controls and proper allocation of funds based on organizational priorities.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Monitor and enforce internal control processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. For tax compliance, we are working with a tax consulting company (Big4) where some experience completing the tax declaration process will be an advantage.
- System Management (Oracle): Utilize Oracle for financial reporting, analysis, and operational tasks to ensure data accuracy and seamless integration within the system to support financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years to 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Fluency in Dutch and English is a must. Turkish and other EU languages will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills to work in parallel with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Travel flexibility will be required for business operations.
- Ability to work with senior management and provide actionable financial insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Already residing in Amsterdam or close to work location and do not need additional sponsorship for visa or employment.
