Altum Consulting BV are excited to be working exclusively with our client - a Professional Services/Tech Consulting brand - who are looking to for an experienced and qualified Senior Financial Controller to closely support the Group Financial Controller to build and maintain robust, accurate and streamlined financial controls framework. This is a unique opportunity to utilise your finance and stakeholder management experience to shape and professionalise a world class finance function through continuous improvement and first class financial reporting.

The Senior Financial Controller will work closely with the Finance Director and Group Financial Controller to put in place the strategy, maintain robust reporting and seek continuous improvement within the finance division.

The Senior Financial Controller will need excellent communication skills and proven experience in positively contributing to the professionalisation of a finance function. The role carries full responsibility for the group consolidation and ownership of the consolidation package, with full responsibility for Balance Sheet and P&L of the holding company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for Group reporting, consolidation and Control activities (IFRS)
  • Implementing new financial legislations and embedding regulations
  • Create business insights via dashboards and the translation of data for internal review and presentation
  • Presenting financial analysis to the Finance Director and the Board to assist them in steering the business
  • Creating efficiencies across financial processes
  • Own the relationships with all local controllers regarding monthly reporting, delivering clear communication around expectations, timeframes and accuracy
  • Overseeing the holding company budgeting and forecasting process
  • Analysing and reviewing the P&L and balance sheets of the holding company
  • Process improvement around reporting, consolidation and a more effective use of data

Education and Experience:

  • Educated with a master's degree in accounting or economics in addition to holding a formal accountancy qualification (RA/ACA/CPA/CA).
  • 10 + years of professional experience within finance with a preference for experience in both the Big4 and industry.
  • Have solid experience in reporting and control, ideally within an international environment.
  • Highly analytical, structured and proactive with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communicator with fluency in both English and Dutch.
  • Able to connect the dots, think outside the box and be able create a vision for change.
