Mechanical Drafter

G2 currently looking for a Freelance Mechanical Draftsman with experience in primarily within the Oil & Gas industry. The Client is a equipment manufacturer for some of the largest Oil and Gas companies across the globe. The client needs a draftsman as they have doubled their projects since last year and need external personnel to help manage the workload.

The role will suit a mechanical draftsman who has experience within the Oil & Gas industry. More specifically for persons with experience in equipment manufacturing.

For this position, you will be taking the 3D modelling concepts and translating them into construction and assembly drawings. They are looking for a candidate that is able to use Autodesk Inventor and Vault.

Mechanical Draftsman specification;

Start: April

Location: The Hague, Netherlands

Duration: 6-12 Months

Essential Skills:

Mechanical background within Oil & Gas

Ability to interpret 3D models and translating them into Construction and Assembly drawings

Good understanding in Autodesk Inventor and Vault

Ability to deliver drawings in a time efficient manner to the client's requirements

English speaking is needed – Dutch is a bonus

Roles and responsibilities:

Responsible for the construction and assembly drawings on new equipment for the Oil & Gas industry.

Using AutoDesk Inventor and Vault to perform the drawings.

Managing the drawings and documentation inline with the clients proposals.

The client has a requirement for the candidate to start in April, and interviews are starting in the next coming weeks.
