As the Global Insurance Manager at Roll Group, you will oversee and optimize our global insurance portfolio, ensuring our operations remain resilient and financially secure. As a Global Insurance Manager at Roll Group, you play a vital role in safeguarding our operations by managing insurance risks, optimizing policies, and ensuring financial protection across all aspects of our global activities. Based in the Netherlands, you’ll work on a variety of challenging projects, from managing complex claims to evaluating risks for heavy transport and lifting operations.

The Global Insurance Manager is a strategic position within our Legal, Insurance, and Compliance department. You will oversee all aspects of insurance risk, including onshore and offshore fleets, assets, and large-scale projects. Working closely with brokers, insurers, and internal teams, you will mitigate financial exposure, manage claims, and ensure compliance with global insurance standards.

Manage the insurance portfolio, including marine, cargo, liability, property, and workers compensation coverage.
Act as the primary liaison between Roll Group, brokers, and insurers, ensuring the quality of insurance providers.
Oversee the administration of global insurance policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with operational and QHHSE teams for timely incident reporting.
Provide guidance to senior management on risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage insurance-related expenses, recommending cost-effective strategies.
Conduct training sessions on risk management best practices and insurance policies.
Ensure insurance policies align with the company’s global risk strategy.
Work with legal and compliance teams to address legislative changes and contract risks.

Your ability to evaluate complex risks, manage insurance portfolios, and provide sound strategic advice to senior management is key to your success in this role.
At least a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in global insurance management, preferably in logistics, transportation, or heavy industries.
Confidence to engage with senior management, negotiate with brokers and insurers, and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
A high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in managing sensitive matters.
Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing).
