Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for providing project/ construction management services associated with major tenant improvements, space reconfiguration projects, new construction projects, and new infrastructure / upgrade projects within assigned properties ensuring that project requirements are being met for our client. The intent is to ensure critical client business needs, related to construction, are addressed promptly and in a safe, professional, cost-effective manner with all the project scope, budget and schedule objectives satisfied. This role is part of a multi service multiyear global contract with an American specialist chemical company. You will be part of the European PMO organization. This role will be based out of Ternuezen and may require international business travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and close out.
  • Developing and Managing project schedules and budget for overall financial reporting and cashflow forecasting.
  • Responsible to establish and implement project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Appointment off all third-party suppliers required to complete a project in accordance with sourcing process and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders by conducting regular meeting and reporting to provide updates, address challenges and concerns and create strong working relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal and external third parties to monitor progress, resolve issue and ensure compliance with specification and quality standards.
  • Carry out thorough project evaluations and cost control to assess and identify contractor pay request, value engineering and timely delivery until close out.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative, safe and high-performance work environment.

Additional Responsibilities/Task

  • Engage with EH&S to ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement project specific EH&S plan to create safe work environments.
  • Conducting regular site inspections, to assess and identify project progress and risks Monitor/ Write Safe Work Permit documents by utilizing the Client Global standard, to maintain consistent permit issuance, alliance to the Life Critical Standards and confirm that all required trainings are current.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings and change orders.
  • Verify compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Skills, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree – preferably in Architecture, Design or Facilities Management
  • Demonstrable experience in Construction management experience essential
  • Knowledge and extensive work experience in the field of Facilities Management
  • Understanding and knowledge of any necessary regulations, in which work if being performed, to ensure compliance
  • Fluent Dutch and English with strong writing skills to native level
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office tools
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal team members and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000 annually

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
