Discover International has partnered with a global pharmaceutical organization to hire for a leadership role in the Environmental Health & Safety function. You will act as a Lead for the Environmental, Health, and Safety ( EH&S ) organization, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in EH&S practices , providing effective leadership, and collaborating with key stakeholders to support safe and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EH&S strategies and action plans.
  • Manage the EH&S department, including budget and employee development .
  • Oversee EH&S performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead EH&S program development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and provide consultation on EH&S regulations.
  • Develop and deliver EH&S training programs .
  • Support EH&S committees and manage external partnerships .
  • Ensure effective risk management and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in EH&S (e.g., Safety Engineer, EH&S practitioner).
  • Experience as a lead auditor for EH&S and Quality.
  • Several years of experience in EH&S and leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in managing EH&S in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Strong decision-making skills and professional integrity.
  • Dutch speaking must
  • GMP experience is highly desirable
