Joining their dynamic team, you will work with a wide variety of clients, addressing complex actuarial challenges, such as model development, valuation, capital optimization, and risk management.

Your Role

You’ll be a part of the Risk Modeling Services practice, based in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or Utrecht. Projects will focus on insurers and may also include banks, pension funds, asset managers, and other organizations, depending on your interests. Your actuarial insights and strategic thinking will directly impact client success. You’ll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Depending on your ambitions, your responsibilities may include:

• Actuarial Model Development : Creating models for valuation, capital calculations, and financial or risk projections.
• Model Validation & Review : Auditing and validating actuarial and risk models to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Balance Sheet Optimization : Advising on ALM strategies and optimizing financial positions for insurers and pension funds.
• Big Data Analysis : Leveraging advanced analytics, including machine learning, to solve practical problems for insurers and pension funds.
• Transaction Support : Supporting mergers and acquisitions by providing actuarial expertise.
• Quantitative Consulting : Tackling areas such as pricing, cyber risk, or financial planning, using tools like R, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Advisory on Emerging Trends : Guiding clients on innovations, regulatory developments, and technology adoption.
• Mentorship : Coaching junior colleagues to build their skills and support their development.

Your Profile

You’re an ambitious and curious professional who thrives on problem-solving and collaboration. You are eager to broaden your actuarial expertise while building strong client relationships.

• Educational Background : Academic degree in Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a comparable technical field.
• Experience : At least 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably within insurance or consulting, focusing on actuarial models, capital management, or financial risk.
• Language Skills : Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Creative and practical approach to solving diverse challenges.
• Client Engagement : Skilled in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Team Player : Comfortable collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
