As a senior environmental, health and safety specialist you take the lead in improvement and you will inspire people on this topic. Role and Responsibilities

The EF EHS team is responsible for a broad work package: consisting of many safety related services such as judging risk of tasks and signing of work permits, finding root-causes of incidents or accidents, creating toolboxes, contributing to trainings and SRA/FMEA participation. There is a safety desk, that is available for all relevant safety questions. The EHS team has strong ties with the global EHS organization. All activities are all aiming to improve the safety culture, increase safety awareness and take measures to continuously support and advise the factory to reach the next level of safety.

The safety expert has the right skills and experience levels to identify and close gaps in the competence between factory and other safety experts. The safety expert aligns with the other members within EHS group on knowledge exchange, closing of issues and improvement initiatives. The safety expert contributes to the creating of a competence, a department roadmap and supports their activities.

Education and experience

Educated on Safety (MvK is required) and a minimum of three years of relevant working experience.
Dutch and English skilled both verbally and in writing.
Proven industrial experience in multi-disciplinary (safety) projects.

Familiar with Environment, Health and Safety, or ASML engineering.

Skills

The following skills are needed to excel in this role:

  • Able to create an atmosphere of cooperation and trust.
  • Has good communicational skills (verbal and written) in English (and Dutch is a pre)
  • Able to get people 'on board' (influencing without formal power/negotiating skills),
  • Highly committed, robust and flexible (sometimes working outside office hours, changing requirements and boundary conditions).
  • Knows how to perform safety investigations
  • Able to organize, offer structure and manage a broad set of stakeholders
  • Support the EF Factory to move in the culture ladder

The holder of the position reports to the group leader of EF EHS department.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
