About The Role

We are looking for a Senior International Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team, reporting to the Finance and Operation Manager. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the financial administration of several European subsidiaries, contributing directly to the financial health of our business by ensuring timely, accurate accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for multiple European entities, ensuring payments align with liquidity budgets (declaration, invoices, bookings, card bookings)
  • Oversee monthly accounting reviews to ensure accurate financial data and reconciliation of suspense accounts
  • Optimize debtor balances through proactive reminders and payment arrangements.
  • Collaborate on projects for process improvement.
  • Handle VAT and CBS declarations, and manage intercompany reconciliations.
  • Serve as a reliable backup for other finance team members during vacations and absences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in an international setting.
  • Strong understanding of administrative processes, with HBO-level accounting knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Navision (ERP).
  • Knowledge of international payment transactions is a plus.
  • A self-starting, independent approach to work, with excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
