Job Description About Packsize Packsize is currently relocating its European headquarters to Amsterdam, marking an exciting new chapter in the history of Packsize Europe About The Role We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior Accounting Specialist to join our cohesive European accounting team. In this key role, you will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, prepare insightful reports, and uphold compliance with US and local GAAP, as well as company policies. You will work closely with the finance department to manage daily accounting operations, support financial analysis, and drive process improvements. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Maintain and record financial transactions in accordance with US and local GAAP.
~ Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounts daily.
~ Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
~ Analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
~ Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
~ Assist with internal and external audits.
~ Provide financial analysis and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
~ Review customer contracts to assess accounting treatment, including billing and revenue deferrals.
~ Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and company policies. 6+ years of professional accounting experience, including 2-3 years in external audit.
~ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, RA, or equivalent preferred).
~ Fluency in English; Proficient with accounting software, including SAP (actively in use).
~ Experience with, Infor, Salesforce, Lockstep Collect, and DOMO.
Fluency in German
Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
