Assistant Financial Controller

Altum Consulting are excited to partner with a European based media & tech business to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller to support the growth of their team and business.
This business has a very rich culture of identity, fun and informal way of working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit various statements, reports and declarations E.G. VAT, CBS, Environmental and audit related reporting.
- Own compliance surrounding legal payments, transfers, transfer pricing and taxes.
- Ensure accuracy across financial admin across multiple entities in EMEA.
- Prepare and present company financial reports, monthly, quarterly and annual including summarised annual reports for internal and external use.
- Supporting with data integrity, analysis and evaluations.
- Prepare and present internal reports for stakeholders, board and equity owners.
- Work across various ad-hoc finance tasks relating to new business opportunities, acquisitions, growth plans and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
- Focus on working to continuously improve and optimise processes, controls, reporting and notes.
Key Requirements:
- Education: University degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- Experience: Recent work in industry or an audit environment, with a minimum of 2 years industry experience required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, proficient in Office software, with SQL and ERP knowledge preferred.
- Language: Fluency in Dutch and English preferred.
- Competencies: Strong analytical and numerical abilities, solution-oriented mindset, adaptability, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication.
