A well established international tech company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of AI powered personalisation across its global, high traffic digital platforms. With a user base spanning multiple regions and a strong engineering culture, the business is investing heavily in intelligent guidance features, modern architecture, and platform scalability. You will join a collaborative product engineering department of around 35 professionals and work within a focused scrum team of five. This is an engineering led environment where you will shape both product capability and technical direction, supported by a highly experienced Head of Engineering who ensures the team operates without blockers and can innovate effectively. The Opportunity You will play a central role in designing and implementing an AI driven advisory experience that adapts to individual user needs. This includes building the engine that learns from user interactions, delivers personalised recommendations, and enhances platform wide engagement. Alongside this, you will contribute to broader product evolution, designing new engagement features and accelerating the transition towards a modular, microservices oriented architecture. You will help drive improvements in scalability, resilience, and cloud maturity as the organisation enhances its distributed platform footprint. Key Responsibilities • Architect and develop AI enabled advisory and personalisation features • Build and maintain scalable back end services for a high traffic environment • Design and implement new user engagement capabilities across the platform • Advance the shift towards a microservice architecture and modern API ecosystem • Ensure best practice in automated testing, CI CD, and software quality • Work closely with product management and cross functional teams • Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering processes and standards Technical Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline • 5+ years' experience in a comparable engineering role • Strong expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript, including Node and NPM • Professional experience with an object oriented language (PHP, C sharp, Java, etc.)• Demonstrated ability to build and scale distributed cloud native applications on AWS • Track record of designing and implementing robust, high availability back end systems • xfgnyzt Practical experience integrating AI solutions into production systems • Strong understanding of automated testing within CI CD pipelines • High standard of coding quality aligned to SOLID principles What's on Offer • Full time permanent position • Competitive salary, bonus scheme, and pension • 32 days annual leave with the flexibility to choose when you take them • Option to buy or sell up to 5 annual leave days • Annual personal development budget • Commuting cost reimbursement for those travelling from further afield • Flexibility to work abroad twice a year • Modern, welcoming office in central Eindhoven • International, inclusive culture with regular team events and a strong emphasis on enjoyment at work • The opportunity to build high impact, user facing AI products at scale within a forward thinking digital organisation
