Sales Manager - FX Trading
Location : Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands (On-site)
About the Role:
Our client, a recognised leader in the FX trading industry, is seeking an experienced FX Sales Manager with extensive experience in the FX sector, ideally from an FX broker, to help grow their presence across the Benelux region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of high performance in FX sales, leading teams, and driving business development activities. This is a player-manager role where you will continue to generate new business while coaching and developing your team.
As a Sales Manager , you will be responsible for:
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding
- Outbound lead generation and business development within the FX sector
- Account management, including upselling, cross-selling, and renewals
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with C-level executives
- Mentoring and coaching a team of sales professionals, ensuring high performance
- Supporting and developing sales strategies and methodologies for the team
- Ensuring the team stays up-to-date with the latest market trends and financial developments within the FX industry
- Selling cutting-edge FX solutions including Commercial FX Products , Currency Exchange Services , and Risk Management Solutions designed to help businesses optimize their foreign exchange and payments processes
Our client offers a comprehensive suite of solutions tailored to meet the needs of clients in various industries, from hedging strategies to payment solutions. As Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to sell these highly impactful solutions, building strong relationships and creating value for clients by helping them manage their currency and payment-related challenges more effectively.
Ideal Candidate:
Our client is looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in the FX industry, ideally from an FX broker , and a proven track record of high performance in business development and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have:
- Fluent in English plus - French, German, or Italian is Critical for the success of this role
- Extensive experience in the FX industry with a proven track record of sales success and leadership (ideally from an FX broker)
- Previous experience in B2B sales with a focus on FX or related financial services
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to engage directly with C-suite decision-makers
- Demonstrated success in business development, including cold calling and prospecting
- A solid understanding of the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing
- Leadership experience, including mentoring and managing a sales team
- Strong resilience and determination to succeed in a competitive environment
- Ability to demonstrate credibility with clients and colleagues through expert knowledge of both the company and the product
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
