Lead/Senior Expeditor

We are seeking both Lead and Senior Expeditors to join our clients team. Our client is a leading engineering firm and based in the Randstad.
Your Role
As a Lead/Senior Expeditor you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment for offshore and renewable energy projects. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, logistics, and project managers to prevent delays and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Develop and implement expediting strategies to ensure timely delivery of project materials and equipment
- Track and monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules and contract terms
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential delays by working closely with procurement, logistics and project teams
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and problem resolution
- conduct regular process meetings with suppliers to review production schedules, status updates and risk assessments
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to prioritize urgent deliveries and critical project requirements
- Prepare and present expediting reports, including progress tracking and risk analysis to senior management.
Your Profile
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in expediting, procurement or supply chain management within the offshore, oil & gas or renewable sector
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, logistics and supplier management
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
