We are currently recruiting for a Technical Financial Accountant to join our team in Rotterdam (Port City Building, Waalhaven ZuidZijde Rotterdam)

Job Description:

As the Technical Financial Accountant you will be part of the team, consisting of six people, responsible for the preparation, analysis of the external and internal financial reporting. This role is key control to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the group's (interim) financial information. As Specialist Technical Accounting you are responsible for accounting analysis of technical accounting topics under both US GAAP and Dutch GAAP like leases, impairments, revenue recognition. Furthermore, you will be involved within the PPA process. This includes involvement in the valuation, review of opening balance sheet, identification of GAAP differences) and accurate translation into our financial system. You will contribute to streamline the process of the accounting of acquisitions with the objective to finalize a PPA 90 days after closing a deal.

This role is reporting to the "Senior Specialist Technical Accounting" and will have a strong connection to the department of technical accounting in the US.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing PPA activities and technical accounting topics within Europe for group and local purposes
  • Involved in the external audit process in relation to the PPA process and other technical accounting topics.
  • Accountable for identification of differences between US GAAP and local GAAP and ensure proper accounting for these differences.
  • Supporting the US GAAP Tax provisioning in relation to the PPA process
  • Monitor technical accounting, regulatory and financial reporting developments to ensure Lineage maintains compliance with current and developing standards and regulations.
  • Manage the relationship with key external parties on behalf of Lineage, including the external auditors, advisors and consultants.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Financial Controlling and/or CPA
  • 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service support.
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.

In addition:

  • Preferable a background in the top 8 accounting firms (in NL).
  • Dutch language is a big plus.
  • Prior experience in warehousing and/or logistics/transportation industry a plus.
  • Workday Finance and Adaptive Insights experience is a plus.
