Whom are we looking for?

We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to strengthen our Finance team and support the growing financial needs of Ampowr. The Finance & Accounting Specialist will be responsible for accounting-related tasks and financial closes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will work closely with an accounting colleague and report directly to the CFO. As Ampowr continues to grow, this position will develop into a Financial Controller role, taking on additional financial analysis and control responsibilities.

To be successful in this role you are expected to:

  • Manage daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
  • Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Working closely with the CFO and accounting colleague to optimize financial processes.
  • Collaborating with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
  • Managing financial data in Exact Online and ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Assisting in process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Communicating with banks and financiers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or financial controlling.
  • Experience working with Exact Online (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
