In this role you will develop and modernise EFPAC features using Delphi, while maintaining existing applications and DLLs. You will translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure quality through tests, reviews, and compliance. You'll work across backend and database layers, optimise SQL Server procedures, and support cloud and DevOps activities. This position offers impact through improving enterprise assets and enabling customer implementations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Verantwoordelijkheden- Develop new EFPAC features and enhancements using Delphi
- Maintain and modernise Delphi applications, packages, and DLLs
- Translate requirements into designs, workflows, and algorithms
- Refactor code, conduct peer reviews, and enforce coding standards
- Develop and run unit tests with evidence
- Debug and perform root cause analysis on defects and production issues
- Resolve issues across integration, regression, functional, and end-to-end testing
- Develop and optimise MS SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and queries
- Build DB connectivity with ADO and FireDAC
- Support performance improvements, package upgrades, and customer implementations
- Automate recurring development and operational tasks
- Assist with Azure DevOps pipelines, Git, and work-item management
- Assist feasibility studies, PoCs, customer scenarios, and cloud migrations
- Prepare technical designs, code review checklists, test results, and RCA documents
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and Planning Interval
- Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, developers, and QA teams
- Ensure deliverables meet acceptance, quality, security, and audit-compliance requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Delphi 11 or Delphi 13
- Advanced knowledge of Object Pascal and OOP
- Experience developing and maintaining Delphi packages and DLLs
- Knowledge of Delphi Parallel Programming Library and multithreaded development
- Strong experience with ADO and FireDAC
- Experience with DevExpress components
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Hands-on experience developing stored procedures, functions, and complex queries
- Experience with Git source control
- Azure DevOps knowledge (backlog items, repos, pipelines, CI/CD, Sprint Planning)
- Strong debugging, defect analysis, and root cause analysis
- Experience in unit testing and maintaining automated test coverage
- Understanding of software design, algorithms, performance, and code quality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Independent, able to investigate and resolve complex issues
