The Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in payment services, is seeking an experienced Global Business Development Manager for Airlines & eTravel to drive growth and partnerships across their global footprint. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and skilled individual to join a high-performing team and make a significant impact in the airline payments ecosystem.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a global business development strategy tailored to the airline sector, ensuring alignment with their overarching goals.
- Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at airlines, payment partners, and industry stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and the Americas.
- Market Analysis: Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities within the global airline payments landscape.
- Deal Closing: Lead complex negotiations, create winning proposals, and drive revenue by securing long-term partnerships with airline clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and operations to deliver value-driven solutions.
Who Are They Looking For
- Experience: 5-8 years of proven business development experience, preferably in the airline, payments, or travel-related sectors.
- Global Perspective: Strong understanding of global markets with the ability to navigate cultural nuances across APAC, EMEA, LATAM, and the Americas.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-Oriented: Demonstrated success in achieving revenue and growth targets in a competitive and fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with airline payment systems, trends, and challenges is a strong advantage.
- Ability to deliver optimal solutions by evaluating various alternatives and exploring adaptations of policies, procedures, and techniques to meet customer needs effectively.

- Strong commercial drive and a solid understanding of the Airlines and eTravel market.
- Skilled negotiator with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- A deep interest in team-building and collaboration to achieve shared goals.
- An ongoing interest in the FinTech space and its applications in travel.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment, adapting quickly to changing circumstances.
- Ability to analyze data, combine it with market insights, and develop and communicate actionable results, ideas, and strategies.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools to effectively manage customer relationships.
