JOB PURPOSE

The Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team plays a critical role in maintaining AtlasEdge's integrity, trustworthiness, and legal standing. The activities span across certifications, legal adherence, audit management, policy creation, administration, training, public perception management, and continuous improvement. Establishing a robust compliance program not only mitigates risks but also enhances the overall reputation and operational excellence of our data centres.

Working in a dynamic and exciting industry and as part of an enthusiastic GRC team, the Audit Analyst GRC will be responsible for the organisation's risk management and internal audit functions. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, as well as ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Audit Analyst GRC will be accountable for managing internal and external operational audit activity in a pan European environment. This requirement will include successfully managing an interesting mix of requirements including client audit activity, coordinating and running operational audits including but not limited to Security (E.G. PCI-DSS, ISAE 3402, ISO/IEC 27001, ENS for Spain), Business Continuity (E.G. ISO 22301, KRITIS) and ESG / Sustainability (E.G. ISO 14001, EcoVadis).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, auditing, and regulatory compliance. They would be a committed, passionate and motivated individual and a completer / finisher with an eye for detail. The ideal candidate would demonstrate a commitment to supporting audit quality, maintaining objectivity, professionalism and integrity.

This role will involve significant travel across Europe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key accountabilities include:

• Manage Audit Activities : Coordinate and manage stakeholders, including customers and external auditors. Send out pre-audit information and prepare pre-audit work for regulatory compliance audits.
• Coordinate and Monitor Workplans : Work closely with Site Managers and relevant teams to ensure tasks and workplans are on track.
• Support Audits : Accompany auditors to sites, assist with audit report preparation, and participate in debrief sessions to identify lessons learned.
• Provide Guidance and Coaching : Enable team members to be actively involved in audits and provide necessary evidence.
• Conduct Compliance Audits : Independently conduct in-person and virtual compliance audits on selected areas of the organisation and supply chain.
• Develop Audit Programs : Assist in developing audit programs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit tools and techniques.
• Research and Stay Updated : Research legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, and stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Evaluate and Report Compliance : Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance, develop and implement risk management strategies, and monitor the effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Prepare and Present Reports : Prepare and present audit reports for stakeholders, including senior management and ExCo.
• Follow Up on Audit Findings : Ensure satisfactory resolution of audit findings within agreed timescales.
• Ensure Compliance : Maintain awareness and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
• Other Duties : Carry out other duties as required by management from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree level qualification in industry related subject area, business studies, maths or science
• Audit or GRC subject area qualifications – E.G. IAA, ISACA's Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification, Lead Auditor Certificate
• Previous experience in a related field

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Required : A minimum of 1 years' experience of working within a Security / Risk/ Quality / Health and Safety Management System audit function and good knowledge of ISO standards and audit techniques

Required : High level of skill in data analysis, reporting

Required : Knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards

Required : Exceptional ability to formulate and present information including compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation

Required : Proven strong stakeholder management including reporting, project management, risk identification and escalation

Required : Extensive knowledge, understanding and work experience with Office 365, SharePoint, Teams and associated tools in a Cloud First Geographically dispersed company

Knowledge of : Lean management techniques

Knowledge of : Compliance management software solutions, E.G. Paradigm 3 and Intellect Compliance.

PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Relationship Building : Creating and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, especially in a remote work environment

Communication Skills : The ability to convey findings clearly to stakeholders, including management, clients and other stakeholders.

Ethical Judgment: Maintaining integrity and objectivity, with a strong sense of professional ethics.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspect of records are thoroughly examined and accurately reported

Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to make sense of datasets and supporting information.

Analytical Thinking: The ability to dissect complex financial data, identify patterns, and understand underlying trends is crucial

Problem-Solving: The ability to develop recommendations that enhance an organisation's controls and processes

Knowledge of Standards : Familiarity with principles and standards necessary for compliance. For example to Security (E.G. PCI-DSS, ISAE 3402, ISO/IEC 27001, ENS for Spain), Business Continuity (E.G. ISO 22301, KRITIS) and ESG / Sustainability (E.G. ISO 14001, EcoVadis).

IT Proficiency: excellent skills with MS Office, SharePoint and other software used in a cloud first organisation.
