Technical Drafter

We are looking for a Technical Drafter with a background in structural design and experience in 2D and 3D modelling in the Shipbuilding industry.

Organization:

Our client is one of the leading companies in the shipbuilding industry, designing and building various types of ships at the highest standards and technology.

About the role:

As a Technical Drafter, you will work on a broad variety of tasks in the field of ship structures. You will be involved in basic engineering preparing plans and outer deck arrangements. During the detailed design, you will be responsible for foundation fabrication models and drawings.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Preparing drawings and modelling using 2D and 3D CAD tools
• Cooperating with the team to find the best solutions
• Ensuring compliance and assisting with technical solutions in design

Requirements:

We are looking for mechanical/shipbuilding design engineers in Secondary vocational education (MBO-4) or BSc, with at least 2 years of experience as Technical Drafter.

• Experience in shipbuilding or offshore
• Proficiency in working with 2D and 3D software such as CADMATIC Hull, SolidWorks or Catia
• Being able to work independently.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English language
