**Role Overview**

The Global Director of Communications at Flora Food Group will lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of the company's global communications, with a focus on media relations and financial communications. This role is critical in positioning Flora Food Group as the leading voice in the transition to a more sustainable food system, offering consumers a compelling choice across multiple markets, influencing public perception, and supporting the company's growth in over 100 countries. With headquarters in Amsterdam, this role emphasizes collaborative leadership, creative strategy, and impactful storytelling that resonate with diverse audiences, from consumers to industry stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Communication Leadership**: Craft and oversee Flora Food Group's global communications strategy, aligning it with business goals to enhance brand visibility and engagement across multiple platforms.
- **Brand and Reputation Management**: Shape the company's narrative to reinforce Flora Food Group's position as a leader in delicious, natural and nutritious food. Manage brand reputation, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging.
- **Media Relations**: Establish and nurture strong relationships with international media outlets, positioning Flora Food Group as a thought leader in food sustainability and innovation.
- **Financial Communications**: Drive Flora Food Group's financial communications, in close collaboration with Investor Relations and the Chief Financial Officer.
- **Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Communication**: Highlight Flora Food Group's commitment to affordable, nutritious, and environmentally conscious food production, engaging stakeholders in the company's mission to transform the food system.
- **Crisis Communication**: Develop and lead crisis communication strategies to protect and maintain the company's reputation across markets.
- **Team Leadership**: Be an integral part of a global communications team, fostering growth, creativity, and a high-performance culture. Ensure effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, and HR.

**So, what does it take to be successful in this role?**
- **Experience**: Minimum of 10 years in communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong background in global corporate communications, ideally within the FMCG or food industry.
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- **Strategic Vision**: Proven track record in developing and implementing successful global communication strategies that drive brand reputation and business objectives.
- **Media Expertise**: Extensive experience managing international media relations and building influential networks.
- **Crisis Management**: Demonstrated experience in crisis communication, with a strong ability to manage reputation under pressure.
- **People Leadership**: Excellent team leadership skills with a history of developing high-performing, motivated teams across multiple regions.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Skilled in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including industry leaders, media, and community groups.
