Videographer (Internship) - Fishing

Introduction

The Challenge

Are you looking to build a career in videography and content creation?

THE CHALLENGE

At Shimano Fishing - Europe, we create our own marketing elements. Such as expressions for in the physical shops, web shops, social media and videos.

For the video and social media part, we are looking for an intern to assist us with Pre-production, video shoots, editing, subtitling, and managing the various media channels.

When we go filming, it's usually outside, with your nose in the wind, or against the wind.

A nice mix of a winter coat, sunscreen and seeking shelter from the rain. On these shoots, we use GoPros, Osmo pocket, a Drone and the Sony A7SIII. And yes (sometimes) also manual focus, aperture, and ISO. So, it's kind of convenient if we don't have to explain that to you anymore. We record in S-Log Cine 3, so it is an advantage if you know how to make this footage speak again.

First you will assist us, and once you have proved that you can go out on your own, you will also be allowed to shoot and edit small items yourself.

Your main responsibilities are:
- Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. Bumpers and lower thirds are created in After Effects, thumbnails in Photoshop and logos we pick from Illustrator. If you have knowledge of After Effects scripting, tracking and content aware fill, that is a bonus, right from the start.-
- Captions in Premiere, as we provide all videos with subs, in multiple languages.-
- During the video process, we work with feedback rounds, in which we give and receive substantiated opinions from colleagues and offices from other countries.-
- For the quick social media videos, it is an advantage if you pick up trends quickly, or create them yourself, of course.You deserve an extra cup of coffee/or tea if you are happy camper about a tidy desktop and clear folder structure.

At Shimano, we read, talk, and write a lot in English, as we work for and with countries all over Europe. If you are multilingual, that is extra useful. The work can sometimes be dynamic/ hectic, e.g. when a 120cm pike hits the lure, two carp reels go down at the same time or an introduction deadline is getting closer and closer.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Passion for videography, both filming and editing.
- A hands on, team driven approach
- Available 5 days a week for a minimum of 5 months
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
