Stoneridge is looking for the best Demand Planner. Are you currently looking for a great challenge in an exciting environment? Contact us for this job in a great team. The primary objective is to translate short
- and long-term sales forecasts into production and supply planning in order to manage the optimal inventory level.
A secondary objective is to contribute to the lifecycle management of our product portfolio. This includes phasing in and out of products and implementing product changes. The key here is to prevent excess and obsolete inventory.
In this regard, the Demand Planner plays an active role in internal communication within the organization, collaborating with sales, project management, and their own internal department (production planning, supply chain planning, and customer support).
Sales forecast analysis
- Collecting and translating all sales data (FC) into a supply plan (HIP) and production plan (HPP) for both the short term (months) and long term (years)
- Engaging in discussions with account managers about continuously improving the FC method and how it can be explained/applied
- Continuously developing and improving forecast reports and making the results of forecast data versus actuals transparent
- Maintaining forecast reports for suppliers
- Timely identifying bottlenecks and anticipating deviations/trends
- Contributing to achieving optimal service levels by maximizing product availability at the optimal inventory level derived from the sales forecast
Life Cycle Management
- Setting up and maintaining MRP parameters for existing and new products, such as status, safety stock, inventory policy, item type, inventory characteristics, etc.
- Coordinating and participating in the phasing in and out of products together with the PMO department
- Participating in the weekly project meetings
- Guiding product introductions within the department and ensuring proper setup of planning systems (PLM)
- Working closely with the PMO, PM, PD, Sales departments, and internal teams in the supply chain and production planners
- Occasionally substituting for production planners during absences
