Internship: (Agricultural) Economic Analyst

**The Challenge**
The seed potato industry is a crucial agricultural market in the Netherlands, holding a significant 56% share of the globally traded seed potatoes. The rising demand for processed potatoes further drives the need for seed potatoes. However, the cultivation of seed potatoes faces increasing challenges due to climate change, pests, diseases, and growing demand. During a 4-5 months research internship you are responsible for performing an economic analysis of the impact of deteriorating seed potato quality and the solutions developed by Agrifirm on the potato processing industry. The goal is to understand the effects of these interventions and provide insights into the value created for farmers and industry partners.You will join a diverse team working in a dynamic setting. Beyond the research work, this internship offers the opportunity to get to know a global agricultural player and develop valuable professional skills.
**What are your most important activities as an intern?**
- You work closely in a small teams with project owners, agronomists and business leaders to develop the scope of this research and collect data;
- You design an economic model and provide valuable insights to the project leader;
- You report your findings in a compelling advice to the business owner to contribute to our new business development activities.
**What's on your resume?**
- Minimum WO MSc. work and thinking level, preferably you are studying agricultural economics, econometrics, agronomy, finance or accounting.
- You have a good command of the English language and are able to communicate clearly in an international group.

We offer an internship allowance of € 400.00 gross per month based on 40 hours per week. You will join an enthusiastic and committed team where cooperation and results are central. The location is Apeldoorn.
