**THE ROLE**

**YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY**
- Developing our next generation of direct air capture machines through system architectures that meet challenging technical requirements, ensure scalability, reach cost-efficiency, and support operational goals for out DAC systems.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including hardware-, software;
- electrical
- and automation engineers as well as product managers to define and refine our hardware solutions.
- Designing and specifying components, interfaces, and integrations for complex hardware systems.
- Conducting systems modeling, simulations and risk analyses to optimize performance and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to design standards, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical leadership within the product development team to promote best practices in hardware development and system integration.
- Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to align project objectives and timelines.
- Preparing technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to team leads and management

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in process engineering, hardware architecture and system-level design, with a proven track record in designing complex systems.
- Strong experience in hardware development for large-scale industrial systems (preferably in clean tech, energy, or similar sectors).
- Familiarity with DAC technologies and processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in system modeling, simulation, and CAD software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Inventor, or similar).
- Expertise in design for manufacturability, including knowledge of material selection, cost estimation, and supply chain considerations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems integration.
- Experience with the entire hardware lifecycle, from concept through design, testing, manufacturing, deployment and operation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven effective in stakeholder management of peers and management.
