Operational Buyer

**Your day as a Operational Buyer?**:
You start your day by checking late deliveries. You scan the open orderbook and take action where necessary.

After the morning break you have a meeting with the Project Buyers to better understand their priorities and where you can help them with these priorities. You also discuss your findings on discrepancies that came up while processing order confirmations and agree on what actions need to be taken.

It’s time for lunch and for a nice afternoon walk in the sunshine, the perfect moment to get to know your team and other departments a bit better.

Your start your afternoon with processing some requisitions for safety shoes and arranging a laptop delivery for the new Quality Engineer starting in the middle of next week.

After a well deserved afternoon coffee break you have time to look at your 'mini project' which is about optimizing the communication process surrounding rejection orders and while you’re at it, you send out an urgent communication about a rejected conveyor that needs to be ready for Customer collection in 5 working days.

Before you finish with your day, you finalize the set up of a new supplier in the ERP system and circle back to the Project Buyers to make sure they are in control and offer your help to prepare for a busy day tomorrow.

Another day has passed with contributing to a successful day in the Supply Chain Department

**How you get things moving**:

- 3 to 5 years relevant work experience as a Operational Buyer;
- You have a bachelor in Supply Chain Management or related studies;
- Excellent writing and verbal skills in English and/or Dutch;
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, relevant education is an advantage;
- Able to establish and develop supplier relationships.
