**Role purpose**
Working full time, including some weekend working, the RBM role is also responsible for actively seeking to develop the reputation and profile of the Aesop brand and their portfolio of stores and counters by building and expanding their customer base through participation within their stores local communities, by fostering appropriate business relationships and by leading relevant special events that demonstrate Aesop’s commitment to rewarding their customers for their patronage.
**Aesop is looking for a passionate and motivated Retail Business Manager / Area Manager to join its dynamic and international team. This position is based in Amsterdam and is available as soon as possible.**
**Missions**
- **Manage sales performance**
Define and implement sales targets for assigned shops and counters.
Analysing sales performance and identifying growth opportunities.
Develop and maintain commercial relationships with strategic partners.
- **Manage and develop a high-performance team**
Recruiting, integrating and training talent to join the Aesop team.
Motivate and coach teams to achieve their individual and collective objectives.
Fostering a positive and stimulating working environment that encourages the development and retention of talent.
- **Managing the customer experience**
Train and coach shop and counter teams to deliver memorable customer service in line with Aesop values.
Oversee the implementation of in-store marketing and brand promotion strategies.
Manage the visual presentation of shops and products to create a unique and engaging customer experience.
**What we are looking for**
- You are a passionate and motivated leader with proven multi-site management experience in a retail environment (minimum 5 years).
- You are fluent in English and Dutch, French is a plus.
- You have excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills and a good understanding of financial analysis and management.
- You are a creative and proactive person, capable of implementing innovative strategies.
- You are an ambassador for the Aesop brand, sharing its values and commitment to excellence.
- You have a good command of the Office package, including Excel.
