- For you, a malfunction is much more than just 'solving a problem'. You like to come up with ideas for long-term solutions. A large part of your working week will consist of solving complex malfunctions, but you will also work on the machine line and have the opportunity to really look further. For instance, you now regularly spar with colleagues about new ideas. - We are Huhtamaki Fiber Technology, the international R&D centre and the machine developer of the big packaging concern Huhtamaki. Full of passion for our work, we develop machine lines that make it possible to produce sustainable packaging, for example for the food sector. We have a modern test centre, a pilot plant and various other departments all under one roof. A good example of the work we do is our Fresh project, for which we developed fully compostable packaging for ready meals. - Do you enjoy contributing to a sustainable future? For our test plant in Leeuwarden, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Operator. As a Mechanical Operator, you are responsible for recognising, resolving and preventing malfunctions in our machines and equipment. The newest and most complex machine lines run in our factory. In this role, you are the technician who ensures that our malfunctions are resolved correctly and in time. You will also work on the machine line. Because you work with the machines on a daily basis, you are able to look much further and come up with structural technical solutions.

About the job- As a Mechanical Operator, you will be involved in troubleshooting malfunctions to get the machines running again as soon as possible.-
- You will be responsible for reporting repair and maintenance work.-
- You enjoy exchanging ideas for the development of our complex machine lines and regularly come up with improvement proposals for the production process.-
- Because you also participate in production yourself.-
- You are in frequent contact with your colleagues and are able to transfer a lot of knowledge to each other. You share your knowledge naturally and know how to get people on board.-
- In the absence of our Line Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining spare parts.What do we ask of you?- Minimum Intermediate Vocational Technical Education-
- Netherlands: MBO level 3 or 4-
- South Africa: Millwright Technician-
- Several years of work experience within a technical environment, preferably an engineering service and you are willing to work in a 5-shift system (approximately 33,6 hours per week).-
- You have knowledge of mechanical and electrical measurement, regulation and control techniques. Thanks to your technical knowledge, you have no problem solving malfunctions independently. In addition, you are someone who can think ahead and who regularly comes up with improvements.-
- You enjoy working on the machine line yourself, in addition to solving malfunctions. This gives you the opportunity to look at technical solutions with a broad perspective.-

- Your salary - based on the importance of the position and your experience - is between €3,426 and €4,440 per month, including shift bonus. You will also receive 8% holiday pay and a 13th month.-
