**Organisational Context**
The position of eDiscovery Assistant is a member of the Evidence and Discovery Management Unit (EDMU) within the Information, Knowledge, and Evidence Management Section (IKEMS).
IKEMS is headed by an Information Management Coordinator (IMC), and combines the OTP’s information, knowledge, and evidence management operations into one consolidated section. IKEMS aims to maintain a coordinated, flexible, and operationally responsive IKEM support capacity throughout the OTP in order to meet the full spectrum of the OTP’s information and evidence operational needs. The eDiscovery Assistant reports to the Head of eDiscovery and Data Analysis Unit.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Evidence and Discovery Management Unit and the overall management of the Information Management Coordinator, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
- Assist in the identification, preservation, and collection of electronic evidence in accordance with established procedures and best practices, including participating in field missions if and when required for the purposes of collecting and/or preserving evidence;
- Perform data processing, search, and production tasks using eDiscovery software, such as data filtering, deduplication, deNISTing, and keyword searching in support of eDiscovery Officers;
- Assist in the review, analysis and disclosure of all-source electronic evidence to identify, collate and/or disclose relevant information, including in support of information or assistance requests;
- Maintain accurate and complete records of eDiscovery-related activities in the Evidence Lifecycle Management System (ELMS) and provide regular status updates to team members and other stakeholders with respect to eDiscovery;
**Essential Qualifications**
- Education:_
Diploma of Secondary education;
- Experience:_
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in handling large quantities of documentary and/or evidentiary materials in a legal, archival, information or evidence management role is required.
- An advanced or first-level university degree may be considered as a substitute for two years' working experience only to determine eligibility.
- Relevant experience in a legal environment is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with an electronic Evidence Lifecycle Management System is required.
- Knowledge of data filtering, de-duplication, and keyword searching is required, as well as advanced search techniques such as Boolean logic and proximity searching is required.
- Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and eDiscovery best-practices is required.
- Experience using eDiscovery software such as Relativity, Nuix, or similar tools is required.

- Knowledge of languages:_
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is required. Working knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) is considered an asset.
