**Job Purpose | Purchaser - IMRES (Netherlands)**
The role of purchaser is pivotal in our process. You will be part of a team of 4 colleagues and you are jointly responsible for the purchase of medicines and medical devices. The role of purchaser is a challenging and independent function where you have a lot of contact with (potential) suppliers.

**What are you going to do?**
- Procure materials from appropriate sources in accordance with established purchasing procedures;
- Generate purchase orders and prepare them for review by the Team Lead;
- Liaise with management for final approval of purchase orders before sending them to suppliers;
- Coordinate closely with the import, export and sales department to ensure a smooth delivery;
- Maintain daily contact with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues that may arise;
- Keep prices up-to-date in the quotation system to facilitate accurate pricing and budgeting;
- Request missing documents on products from suppliers as needed to ensure compliance;
- Assist in the documentation process for vendor qualification when onboarding new suppliers;
- Proactively engage with suppliers through active communication and occasional visits to ensure smooth operations;
- Attend trade fairs to explore new sourcing opportunities within Europe and outside, for both Pharmaceuticals and Non-pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with the Team Lead Purchase.

**Your profile**
- Purchasing experience, especially, in Asia is a plus;
- Excellent command of both the English and the Chinese language;
- Knowledge of the MS office package (knowledge of AX Dynamics is a plus);
- Knowledge of medical related products is an advantage;
- At least Bachelor (HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level;
- Customer focus and the ability to be able to think in terms of solutions;
