Simwave B.V. is a maritime training centre in Barendrecht. With over 59 simulators and 5000 m² of training surface, we provide training, assessments and applied research in the maritime sector. Both online and on location.

The Operations coordinator is a professional and representative employee who works efficiently and effectively in coordination between the different departments. The main employee’s responsibilities are for the planning, onboarding new employees and assisting with drafting sales agreements and proposal. The Operations coordinator will report directly to the COO (Chief Operating Officer).

**Tasks and responsibilities**
- amongst other things must be able to:_
- Plan simulators, instructors and classrooms;
- Communicate with consultants;
- Maintain a clear planning;
- Track project progress, availability of instructors;
- Open and looking for more efficient and effective planning processes;
- Onboarding of new employees;
- Drafting Sales agreements and proposals, on request of the CCO;
- Prioritising the planning;
- Keep the COO up to date and express challenges and concerns in a timely manner;
- Reports and communicate solutions to the COO.

**Competences within the function**
- Coping with very dynamic and changing situations;
- Communicative;
- Team player but also able to work independently;
- Able to take initiatives and act according to company standards;
- Thinking into solutions;
- Problem solving ability;
- Customer oriented.

**Skills and Requirements**
- Intermediate vocational education (MBO);
- Interested and open to create new efficient working processes (process management);
- Problem solving & critical thinking;
- Be quality conscious, service minded and creative;
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Previous experience with planning is an advantage;
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages are a plus).
