**Job description**:

- Contact person for any student who has been confronted with unwanted behaviour or unequal treatment in their study environment, based at the ISS in the Hague;
- Listen, advise and guide students on these issues whilst maintaining strict confidentiality;
- Supports process of filing of report or other steps together with complainant;
- Produce anonymised reports and make recommendations to IB / management;
- Give clear and concise presentations to staff, students and management;
- Participates in Orientation week and related student activities;
- Participates in Network EUR Confidential Advisors for Intervision.

**Job requirements**:

- Education level: applied sciences education (HBO);
- Good communication (writing and speaking) skills in English (C1) and Dutch (B2);
- Completed or due to complete on short notice a 4 full day training on unwanted behaviour and integrity, certified by the national association of confidential advisers;
- Excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of working within a truly diverse environment;
- Integrity, reliability and communication skills;
- Organisational sensitivity and strategic insight to give policy advice.

The start date of this position is 1 September 2024 and you will be based at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague.

In accordance with the conditions applied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as indicated in the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch universities, the salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.377 to a maximum of € 4.640 gross per month (Scale 9) for full-time employment (38 hours).

The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) is a leading academic centre for international development studies in The Hague, which is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). It is a post-graduate institute of policy-oriented critical social science, founded in 1952.
