**Role Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to **lead our Machine Learning Platform team** of 5 (and growing) highly skilled Engineers. This team plays a critical role in delivering a robust infrastructure that supports the** entire machine learning lifecycle, **enabling our data scientists and engineers to develop, deploy, and scale machine learning models efficiently. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with company goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Team Leadership**: Manage, support, and inspire your team to perform at their best. Create an environment that promotes teamwork, continuous learning, and high performance.
- ** Talent Acquisition and Development**: Help hire top talent to build a strong team and guide their professional growth. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help your team members achieve their career goals.
- ** Strategic Collaboration**: Work closely with the Technical Product Manager of ML Platform and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth roadmap, define team strategies, and align technical initiatives with business objectives.
- ** Operational Excellence**: Oversee the development of well-defined tooling, processes, and approaches for building and deploying machine learning models. Ensure the team remains flexible and adaptable to evolving needs of our customers and industry

**Required Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of experience in a people management role, preferably managing Lead Engineers or similar roles in a technical environment.
- ** Performance Management**: Hands-on experience with bi-annual performance reviews, acting as a hiring manager, compensation management, and navigating difficult conversations when necessary.
- ** Coaching & Mentoring**: A genuine passion for mentoring and coaching team members. You will be their go-to person for professional and personal development, helping them reach their full potential.
- ** Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- ** Problem-Solving**: Adaptable, collaborative, and an efficient problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- ** Technical Background**: A background in software engineering is essential. Experience with our tech stack (Python, Kubernetes, GCP) is highly desirable.
- ** Passion for Renewable Energy**: A strong desire to contribute to the renewable energy sector and make a positive impact on the world.
