Sensory Scientist

Utrecht**| Your challenges?**:

- As a Sensory Scientist, your main focus is to lead and execute research projects in flavour and texture perception. Through your understanding of the fundamentals of flavour, taste, and texture, you optimize food products and thus are translating customer needs into practical solutions with a strong scientific base. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you play a key role in supporting global customers with innovative solutions in alternative proteins, reformulation, and clean label products._

**This project is located in Ede**
- Initiate, manage, and execute research projects ensuring timely delivery of quality results
- Contribute to the understanding of flavour, taste, and texture
- Understand how to translate customer needs into scientifically sound solutions that align with the practical constraints of food products
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve food products
- Utilize various techniques to develop innovative approaches for analysis

**| What do we expect from you?**:

- A MSc or PhD in sensory quality of food products, food technology, food science, or flavour chemistry
- Experience with techniques such as olfactometry, GC-SNIFF, and PTR-MS
- At least 5 years of experience in the food or related industry
- A creative and conceptual thinker with Research experience
- A flexible team player with good communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English
