**THE ROLE**:
As the Project Scheduler at Damen Naval, you are planning the end-to-end construction of naval vessels. Building a state-of-the-art naval ship is a complex endeavor; the planning comprises of tens of thousands of activities and a multitude of interdependencies. Your resource loaded project planning, built in Primavera P6, acts as a guideline throughout the construction process: from ideation and design, to production and commissioning. Your planning would lead the build of what we at Damen Naval are most proud of: naval ships.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
As Project Scheduler your key responsibilities will include:

- Develop a baseline (BL) project plan aligning with the master planning and hour budget in collaboration with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and subcontractors.
- Maintain and analyse operational plans, identifying progress delays and bottlenecks.
- Generate progress status overviews and prepare hour forecast information.
- Compile project data for multi-project planning (portfolio).
- Initiate improvement processes to mitigate challenges in specific project stages.
- Lead the logistics team to ensure project requirements are met.
- Engage in discussions and negotiations regarding in
- and export requirements, incoterms, etc. with customs as needed.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
To excel as Project Scheduler, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

- 3+ years of experience in planning large and complex (technical) projects.
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar.
- Solid understanding of all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management.
- Solid experience with Primavera P6 (preferred) or MS Projects.
- Experience with reporting software (PowerBI) and ERP (SAP) is preferred.
- Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
